Houston firm reports more completed wells in area east of Kingfisher

 

Houston’s Oklahoma Energy Acquisitions LP has continued exploration of a sweet spot for crude production in Kingfisher County, reporting completions on four wells, two of which are sister wells with combined production of nearly 1,600 barrels of oil a day.

The completions of the four wells were in an area about 5 to 7 miles northeast of the city of Kingfisher and south of the Cimarron River. This is an area where in 2018 the company completed 29 reports on wells drilled in the STACK play. At the time, the company drilled the wells in the vicinity of 8 to 10 miles east of the city of Kingfisher

Two Brown 1706 wells located at 27 17N 6W had spud dates in June and July of last year with completions made in August 2019. One well, with production of 644 barrels of oil a day and 1,329 Mcf of natural gas was drilled at a depth of 12,775 feet in the Mississippi (less Chester). The second well had production of 939 barrels of oil a day and 2,350 feet of natural gas at a drilling depth of 12,743 feet. Combined production was 1583 barrels of oil a day.

Another Brown 1706, drilled across the road south in a section of land at 34 17N 6W was also completed in August 2019. It had production of 660 barrels of oil a day and 2,288 Mcf of natural gas from a drilling depth of 12,599 feet. Combined with the two Brown 1706s drilled in the adjacent section, total production from the three wells is 2,243 barrels of oil a day.

Oklahoma Energy also drilled a nearby well at 36 17N 6W. The Wakeman 1706 3-25mh had production of 323 barrels of oil a day and 1,146 Mcf of natural gas from a drilling depth of 12,496 feet. The site is about 2 miles east of the the Brown 1706 wells. It had a completion date of August 2019 after a June spud date.

Mewbourne Oil Company, based in Tyler, Texas filed a completion report on a Dewey County well at 11 17N 19W, which is a site southeast of the town of Camargo. The Camargo ranch 2/35 Pb #4hsr had production of 250 barrels of oil a day and 960 Mcf of natural gas. The well had a Feb. 8, 2020 spud date. Drilling finished in late March and completion was made June 16, 2020 from a drilling depth of 17,051 feet into the Skinner formation.

Mewbourne reported completion of another well in nearby Custer County. The Vernette 7 Ob, located at 7 12N 18W, a site north of Foss only had production of 22 barrels of oil a day and 1,657 Mcf of natural gas from a drilling depth of 17,850 feet in the Cherokee formation. It had a July 2019 spud date with completion made in October 2019.

Triumph Energy Partners LLC, based in Tulsa filed a completion report on a Canadian County well that had a December 2018 spud date with completion not until September 2019. The Snyder 10-18 1409mh, located at 7 14N 9W which is northwest of Calumet had production of 203 barrels of oil a day and 2,487 Mcf of natural gas from a drilling depth of 16,325 feet into the Mississippi solid.
