Drilling activity reported in Oklahoma’s STACK

 

Ovintiv Mid-Continent Inc., Paloma Operating Co. Inc. and Fourpoint Energy companies are among those energy firms still drilling for new oil in Oklahoma.

They and other firms filed completion reports this week on wells in Canadian, Kingfisher and Ellis counties.

Ovintiv Mid-Continent completed the Klade 1407 4h-3x well in Canadian County at 10 14N 7W, a site three miles southeast of Okarche. The well had production of 759 barrels of oil a day and 730 Mcf of natural gas from a depth of 19,769 feet in the Mississippian formation. The well had a January 19, 2020 spud date and drilling was finished in early March followed by completion on May 6 of this year.

Another Canadian County well was drilled by Paloma Operating Co. Inc. of Houston. The Pamunkey 14-12n 7w 1mh, located at 14 12N 7W or two miles east of El Reno had production of 673 barrels of oil a day and 2,481 Mcf of natural gas. It had a March 18, 2020 completion date and showed the well with a drilling depth of 14,584 feet in the Mississippian formation.

Red Bluff Resources Operating LLC of Oklahoma City reported completion of a 2018 well drilled at 9 14N 5W north of Piedmont with production of 494 barrels of oil a day and 338 Mcf of natural gas. The Carter 5-9mh well had a drilling depth of 12,178 feet.

Denver’s Fourpoint Energy completed the Tiger Muskie 12×1-18-24 1ha in Ellis County. The well, located at 13 18N 24W or six miles southeast of Arnett had production of 449 barrels of oil a day and 702 Mcf of natural gas. It had a January 2020 spud date and drilling finished in mid-February with completion made March 20 at a drilling depth of 20,280 feet in the Cleveland formation.

Oklahoma Energy Acquisitions LP, the subsidiary of Houston’s Alta Mesa Holdings filed reports on two sister wells with combined production of 605 barrels of oil a day in Kingfisher County.

The Aces High 16065-11mh, located at 11 16N 6W or about 6 miles northeast of the city of Kingfisher had production of 288 barrels of oil a day and 1,756 Mcf of natural gas from a drilling depth of 12,625 feet in the Mississippian formation. Its spud date was in 2019 and completion was made in July 2019.

An Aces High 1606 2-11mh well, drilled across the road in the adjacent section at 2 16N 6W produced 317 barrels of oil a day and 1,341 Mcf of natural gas. Its completion was made July 8, 2019 from a drilling depth of 12,805 feet, also in the Mississippian formation.
