XTO reports southern Oklahoma success

 

Southern Oklahoma is where a Texas energy firm has completed 5 wells on a single pad with crude oil production of more than 1,500 barrels a day.

XTO Energy Inc., based in Spring, Texas filed amended completion reports on the wells that had spud dates in October and November 2018 and January of 2019. Completions were not made until February 2020.

The wells, located north of Madill in Marshall County at 33 4S 5E had drilling depths ranging from 21,689 feet to 23,030 feet.

Their production included 399 barrels of oil a day and 3,067 Mcf of natural gas; 107 Bod and 146 Mcf; 281 Bod and 749 Mcf; 361 Bod and 358 Mcf; and 369 barrels of oil a day and 387 Mcf of natural gas.

The Goodman and Bell wells were in the Woodford formation.

XTO also drilled a Drg 1-34h26x25 well nearby at 34 4S 5E with production of 407 barrels of oil a day and 280 Mcf of natural gas. The well had a January 2019 spud date and drilling finished in April 2019. Completion was made February 25, 2020 at a drilling depth of 18,067 feet. The site is north of Madill and the well was in the Woodford formation.

Contango Resources Inc. also reported completion of a well in Garfield County. The Blackburn 36-23n-05W is located at 25 23N 5W and had production of 623 barrels of oil a day and 1,416 Mcf of natural gas. It had a February 2019 spud date with completion in May 2019. Drilling depth was 10,968 feet and the well is located about 6 miles west of Garber.
