SandRidge makes amended SEC filing

Oklahoma City-based SandRidge Energy filed an amended quarterly report with the Securities Exchange Commission. It involved an explanation for the delay of its original Form 10-Q to be filed following the quarterly period that ended March 31.

The company said the explanatory note was “inadvertently omitted from the Form 10-Q,” a note that said the delay in the filing was “due to the circumstances related to the COVID-19 pandemic.”

The SEC filing indicated the COVID-19 pandemic caused the company headquarters to close due to suggested and mandated stay-at-home orders.

“In addition, the Company issued a work from home policy to protect its employees and others from potential virus transmission,” continued the SEC filing. “The office closure and work from home policy resulted in limited availability of key personnel required to assist in the preparation of the Form 10-Q.”

The amended filing did not include any changed or new financial information regarding SandRidge.

The company later sold the 30-story office tower in downtown Oklahoma City as it continued making employee layoffs.
