Recent wells completed by EOG Resources and Chaparral Energy

 

Chaparral Energy and EOG Resources are among companies filing recent well completion reports in Oklahoma.

Chaparral completed two wells on a single pad in Canadian County with combined production of 973 barrels of oil a day. The two Denali 1206 wells are located at 20 12N 76W which is a site midway between El Reno and Yukon and along Interstate 40.

The smallest of the two wells produced 426 barrels of oil a day and 1,169 Mcf of natural gas. It had a September 2019 spud date with completion made in December 2019 from a depth of 14,286 feet.

The second well, producing 547 barrels of oil a day and 1,387 Mcf of natural gas had similar spud and completion dates. Its drilling depth was 14,440 feet.

EOG Resources Inc. recently completed four wells on a single pad in McClain County near the community of Bridge Creek. The Nighthawk 0718 wells, located at 7 9N 4W had September 2019 spud dates and completions were made March 7, 2020. Combined production was 830 barrels of oil a day, all from the Woodford formation.

One well produced 242 barrels daily and 261 Mcf of natural gas from a drilling depth of 19,766 feet. A second well had production of 126 barrels and 140 Mcf of gas from 20,264 feet while a third well produced 164 barrels of oil and 267 Mcf of natural gas from a depth of 20,670 feet.

The fourth well produced 298 barrels of oil daily and 432 Mcf of natural gas at a depth of 20,157 feet.

Some drilling activity is planned in northeast Oklahoma by Rocky Top Energy LLC, a Nowata based drilling company. Rocky Top recently received drilling permits for two wells to be located in Nowata County.
