The people of Oklahoma Oil and Natural Gas are offering free online classes for displaced industry professionals

The people of Oklahoma Oil & Natural Gas are offering free online classes to industry professionals who are out of work in an effort to help them add skills to their resumes.

Four classes, Excel Levels 1-3, SQL, Python and Resume & Writing, are being offered virtually through the Oklahoma Energy Resources Board’s (OERB) PetroTech program in conjunction with Francis Tuttle Technology Center.

These classes are available for free to anyone who lives in Oklahoma and has worked in oil and natural gas. They can take advantage of this opportunity from anywhere in the state. The topics were selected based on feedback from industry professionals.

“The men and women who work in this industry are some of the brightest and hardest-working people in the state. That is why the people of Oklahoma Oil & Natural Gas are dedicated to providing them with resources to help get them back to work,” said OERB Executive Director Mindy Stitt. “Through their voluntary funding, we are able to offer scholarships, and these free classes, because they value all of our workforce.”

While the online classes are being offered for free, space is limited. They will be filled on a first come, first served basis. For more information about how to enroll, visit OERB.com/careers/petrotech.
