Latest well completions include 8 from Continental Resources

 

Despite the low oil prices, Oklahoma City-based Continental Resources Inc. filed 8 completion reports this week with the Oklahoma Corporation Commission. Three were wells on a single pad in Garvin County with production of about 800 barrels of oil a day.

The three wells had production of 449, 139 and 169 barrels of oil a day from a site at 20 3N 4W or about three miles west of the community of Purdy which is located south of Lindsay. The wells had spud dates in January, February and March of 2019 with completions made in August and September of that year. Drilling depths into the Woodford formation ranged from 21,673 feet to 22,604 feet.

Continental also reported completion of a gas well in Blaine County where production totaled 7,480 Mcf of natural gas.

In Grady County, Continental filed reports on four wells with production of 223, 150, 141 and 243.7 barrels of oil a day.

Unit Petroleum of Tulsa completed two single-pad wells at 17 6N 8W or about 6 miles southwest of Chickasha. The Schenk Trust 5/8 wells had production of 522 and 465 barrels of oil a day out of the Marchand/HOXBAR formation.

OVINTIV Mid-Continent Inc. reported completion of a Kingfisher County well at 19 17N 9W with production of 493 barrels of oil a day and 1,727 Mcf of natural gas. Located about four miles southwest of the town of Loyal, the Channel 1709 6H-30x had a spud date in August 2019. Drilling finished in October and completion was made in November 2019 from a depth of 19,748 feet.
