4 STACK wells produce 2,000 barrels of oil

 

Even as Encana Corp. was reorganizing last fall to become U.S. based Ovintiv Inc., the company was busy drilling four sister STACK wells that ended up producing more than 2,000 barrels of oil a day in Canadian County.

Ovintiv Mid-Continent Inc. filed completion reports this week on the four William Wallace 1406 wells located at 19 14N 6W which is a site about 6 miles southeast of Okarche. Their combined production from the single pad site was 2,035 barrels of oil a day and completions of each well was in October 2019.

The wells each had spud dates in June 2019 from a single pad on the north side of the Northwest Expressway. The largest producer had 593 barrels of oil a day and 649 Mcf of natural gas from a depth of 19,246 in the Mississippian-Woodford formation.

Another well produced 590 barrels of oil a day and 706 Mcf of natural gas. Its drilling depth was 19,229 feet. A third well had production of 400 barrels of oil a day and 395 Mcf of natural gas from a depth of 18,700 feet. The fourth well produced 452 barrels of oil a day and 403 Mcf of natural gas from a depth of 19,385 feet.
