BCE-Mach partnership busy in northern Oklahoma

The wells haven’t been startling producers, but the efforts of Oklahoma City-based BCE-Mach LLC are evident in northwestern Oklahoma. The company is exploring the Mississippi Lime as promised two years ago.

Since late February, the company has filed completion reports on at least 20 horizontal wells in Alfalfa and Woods counties. The largest producer was 567 barrels of oil a day while others were as low as 25 barrels of oil a day.

But BCE-Mach LLC drilling crews apparently have become a common site around such towns as Cherokee, Alva, Freedom, Helena, Ingersoll, Dacoma and Waynoka. Drilling sites were located near those towns.

All but two were separate wells. Two wells drilled at a single pad two miles south of the city of Cherokee had production of 216 and 83 barrels of oil a day. They were in Alfalfa County.

BCE-Mach LLC is a collaboration between Mach Resources LLC and Bayou City Energy Management LLC.  The two joined forces in early 2018 with a focus on acquiring and developing assets in the Mississippi Lime play of northern Oklahoma and southern Kansas. And the completion reports show that’s what they are doing.

The Mississippi Lime formation was the site of extensive vertical well drilling for decades until about 2007 when the first horizontal well was drilled in the region.

The pair also formed BCE-Mach II LLC in October 2018 to focus on acquisition opportunities of low-risk, high cash flowing oil and gas properties with drilling inventory in the Western Anadarko Basin spanning across western Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle.

The assets acquired in the second collaborative effort total 365,000 acres.

““Upon closing these two transactions, the two BCE-Mach partnerships will have closed on five distinct transactions spanning the Mississippi Lime, STACK, MERGE, SCOOP, and Western Anadarko Basins,” said William McMullen, BCE Founder and Managing Partner in announcing the partnership last summer.
