SCOOP is a busy place for OKC’s Roan Resources

Oklahoma City’s Roan Resources has been busy in the state’s SCOOP, reporting completion of three Grady County mother-daughter wells with combined production of nearly 2,300 barrels of oil a day.

Located at 15 9N 5W or about 2 miles north of Bridge Creek, the wells were drilled in the spring and summer of 2018 and not completed until 2019.

The largest had production of 1,094 barrels of oil a day and 1,047 Mcf of natural gas from a depth of 20,116 feet in the Woodford formation according to its completion report. The Duke well was actually drilled and completed in 2018 but the report wasn’t filed until this week.

A Victory Slide well, drilled on the same pad brought in 1,025 barrels of oil a day and 1,829 Mcf of natural gas. The completion report showed a total depth and length of 20,533 feet in the Mississippian Lime.

A second Victory Slide well, drilled at a depth of 20,579 feet had production of 156 barrels of oil a day and 175 Mcf of natural gas from the Woodford formation, according to its completion report.

But Roan Resources reported other wells including a smaller producing well (184 barrels of oil a day) in McClain County. The company also had two separate wells in Canadian County with production of 471 and 333 barrels of oil a day.

Acadia Exploration Partners, LLC, based in Irving, Texas reported completion of a Blaine County well with production of 1,039 barrels of oil daily and 3,847 Mcf of natural gas. The Watonga 1-19h well, located at 25 16N 12W or about one mile southwest of the city of Watonga had a July 2019 spud date. Drilling was finished in August and completion was made in September 2019.

The completion report showed the well had a depth and length of 16,365 feet in the Mississippian formation.

Camino Natural Resources Inc. brought in a small well with production of 230 barrels of oil a day in Canadian County. Chaparral Energy LLC reported a 547 barrel a day oil well also in Canadian County.

EOG Resources completed a 253 barrel a day well in Ellis County. Marathon Oil completed a Garvin County well with production of 336 barrels of oil a day.

In Kingfisher County, Chisholm Oil and Gas had a 288 barrel a day well.  SandRidge Exploration and Production completed a 595 barrel a day well in Major County.
