Newfield targets rich oil production area of STACK

Houston’s Newfield Exploration Mid-Con Inc. is planning four more sister wells in an area of the STACK that had big producers for the company.

Located at 29 16N 8W, the four Dan Fiu wells will be located at a site about 8 miles west of Kingfisher. The permits were issued in early December and Newfield has 18 months to drill the wells.

The wells are to be drilled in a geographic area not far from where Newfield completed several other wells  with combined production of nearly 5,500 barrels of oil a day. The Dan Fiu wells are about 2 miles due south of three Bredel sister wells that had combined production of about 2,500 barrels of oil a day.

The Dan Fiu wells site is also 2 miles northwest of three Frederick 1508 wells that had combined production of more than 1,500 barrels of oil a day.

Clearly, Newfield is attempting to see if the region south of state highway 3 and in the 6 to 7 mile area west of Kingfisher will give the company more big producers.
