Financial report to be released by Oklahoma wind operator

Minnesota-based ALLETE Inc., the operator of a major wind farm being built near Ardmore, Oklahoma plans to release its quarterly financial results Feb. 13, 2020.

The release will be made before the stock markets open on that Thursday. Following the release, ALLETE Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Alan R. Hodnik, President Bethany M. Owen, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Robert J. Adams, and Vice President, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer Steven W. Morris will present an overview of results and discuss 2020 earnings guidance and other factors affecting performance during a conference call beginning at 10 a.m. Eastern time.

The company’s Diamond Spring windfarm is located about 25 miles northeast from Ardmore and is in Murray, Johnston and Pontotoc Counties. ALLETE announced last year it had signed agreements to provide electrical power to Smithfield Foods, Inc, Walmart and Starbucks. The contracts range from 12 to 15 years each.

With the latest announcement, the 300-megawatt Diamond Spring site is fully contracted. The site is ALLETE Clean Energy’s first project to sell wind power to corporate customers.
