** Oklahoma City-based Continental Resources, Inc. plans to announce full-year 2019 and 4Q19 results on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 following the close of trading on the New York Stock Exchange. ** Oklahoma City’s Enable Midstream Partners, LP will release fourth quarter and year-end 2019 financial results before market hours Wednesday, Feb. 19, and will host a conference call at 10 a.m. EST (9 a.m. CST) that day to discuss the results.
**The Trump administration has put one of the largest new water projects on the Colorado River on the fast track, raising concerns among environmentalists. Utah first proposed building a 140-mile pipeline from Lake Powell on the Utah-Arizona border more than a decade ago. The plan, however, was waylaid by environmental and other reviews during the Obama administration.
** Wyoming Gov. Mark Gordon announced that Wyoming will take legal action against Washington state over its blocking of a key coal export terminal, a decision long awaited by state lawmakers who see the west coast terminal as crucial to bringing Powder River Basin coal to international markets. Wyoming has joined Montana in asking the U.S. Supreme Court for a hearing on the dispute.
** The Supreme Court has declined to take a case stemming from the 2014 water crisis in Flint, Michigan. Approximately 25,000 people have sued over the crisis, in which a change in the source of the city’s water resulted in lead contamination.The case the justices turned away without comment Tuesday involves a lawsuit against the city and water regulators, most of whom were responsible for making sure federal clean water laws were followed.
** Tulsa’s Alliance Resource Partners, L.P. will report its fourth quarter 2019 financial results before the market opens on Monday, January 27, 2020. Alliance management will discuss these results during a conference call beginning at 10:00 a.m. Eastern that same day.
