Drilling at home is productive for Revolution Resources

A company drilling at the north edge of Oklahoma City reports three sister wells with combined production of more than 1,100 barrels of oil a day.

The same month that Oklahoma City-based Revolution Resources LLC is expected to close on its $201.5 million acquisition of Jones Energy II, Inc. based in Austin, Texas, the firm reports completion of three wells at 20 14N 4W or about 3 miles northeast of Piedmont.

An Arrowtip 1404 well had production of 238 barrels of oil a day and 275 Mcf of natural gas from a depth of 16,303 feet in the Hunton formation. Its completion report showed the well had a September 2019 spud date and completion was made in October 2019.

An Arrowhead 1404 well drilled on the same paid produced 415 barrels of oil a day and 352 Mcf of natural gas. Its depth in the Hunton formation was 14,770 according to its completion report.

Another Arrowhead 1404 well had production of 485 barrels of oil a day and 285 Mcf of gas according to its completion report. It had an October 2019 spud date and completion was made in November from a depth of 14,905 feet in the Hunton formation.

Combined production was 1,138 barrels of oil a day.

Marathon Oil Co. reported completion of a Mike Stroud BIA 1509 well in Kingfisher county with production of 1,797 barrels of oil a day and 9,211 Mcf of natural gas. Located at 33 15N 9W or about 15 miles southwest of Kingfisher, the latest STACK well was completed in 2019 and its completion report stated the company was “adding perforation and fracture treatment.

Marathon also completed a Garvin County well with production of 1,077 barrels of oil a day and 1,258 Mcf of natural gas. Located at 6 3N 4W or about four miles southwest of Lindsay in the SCOOP, the McCloud 0304 1-6sh well had a June 2019 spud date with completion in October 2019. It had a depth of 18,156 feet in the Springer formation.

Back in the STACK play, Devon Energy came up with the Safari 7_6-15n-8w 4hx well at 18 15N 8W or about 10 miles southwest of Kingfisher. Its production was 937 barrels of oil a day and 2,069 Mcf of natural gas. The completion report showed the well was completed in November of 2018 and the report was just filed this week.
