Houston’s Marathon Oil Co. continues to find success in Oklahoma’s SCOOP with a Stephens County well producing more than 2,000 barrels of oil a day.
The Papa Pump 0204-2-3-34sxh well, located in far northeast Stephens County at 10 2N 4W was completed in November 2019. Reports show it had an August 2019 spud date and drilling finished in October of 2019 with production of 2,008 barrels of oil a day along with 1,089 Mcf of natural gas.
The well had a depth of 23,025 feet with true vertical depth of 12,029. Its site is about 12 miles south of Lindsay, just inside the northeast boundary of Stephens County.
