Oil and gas supported in northern Colorado counties

The efforts of environmentalists and others to put tighter restrictions on the oil and gas industry in Colorado have supporters concerned.

In a recent editorial, the Greeley Tribune focused on the impact of two oil-active counties—Greeley and Weld. It noted that a year after the failure of Proposition 112 to create greater setbacks from residential and commercial areas, the future is uncertain for the area’s mainstay employer—oil and gas.
