More rules changes to be considered by Oklahoma oil and gas regulators

The Oklahoma Corporation Commission has set a special meeting date to consider changes to some of its Oil and Gas Conservation rules.

The meeting will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11 in Courtroom 301 of the Jim Thorpe Office building.

It will focus on revised draft amendments to Chapter 10 of the rules. Some will focus on definitions of deleterious fluids and disposal wells.

Other changes concern the required notice of hydraulic fracturing operations. The proposal is to make the required notice from 5 days to 48 hours.

Changes are also proposed to the notification of spudding of new wells, well casing strings and well site and surface facilities.

For those unable to attend in person, remote participation is available by following these instructions: http://www.occeweb.com/meetings/Scopia-Livestream-Participant-Instructions.pdf
