Energy companies plan more oil and gas exploration in Oklahoma

Who and where?  The logical questions arise when reviewing the latest list of Permits to drill issued by the Oklahoma Corporation Commission.

The latest permits showed Newfield Exploration Mid-Con Inc. plans to drill a four well-single pad site in Kingfisher County at 13 16N 9W. The site is about 7 miles south of the town of Loyal and west of the city of Kingfisher.

EOG Resources Inc. obtained a permit to drill three wells on a single pad at 10 8N 4W in McClain County. The site is four miles south of Newcastle next to the Norman spur of the H.E. Bailey turnpike.

Three wells at a single pad are planned by Trinity Operating USG LLC in Pittsburg County. The site is at 18 7N 18E or about 7 miles southwest of the town of Quinton.

Paloma Operating Co. Inc. obtained a permit to drill in Canadian County at 29 12N 8W while Continental Resources Inc. will use its permit to drill at 09 7N 5W in Grady County.

KODA Operating Inc. was given a permit to drill at 27 25N 1W in Kay County. Cher Oil Company LTD has a permit to drill at 17 18N 4E in Payne County and Hall Greg Oil and Gas Inc. received a permit to drill at 27 8N 5E in Seminole County.
