STACK yields more oil and gas production

Kingfisher County in  Oklahoma’s STACK play continues to see extensive drilling operations despite the continued low prices for crude oil.

Chisholm Oil and Gas Operating based in Tulsa showed how busy its crews have been in the state as the company reported this week the completions of 8 wells in Kingfisher county. Oil production from the separate wells was 508, 331, 389, 197, 180, 104 and 341 barrels of oil a day.

The company also completed four wells in adjacent Logan County and saw production of 953 barrels of oil a day in the largest well. Production for the three others was 415, 400 and 325 barrels of oil a day.

Chisholm also completed one well in Blaine County with production of 872 barrels of oil a day and 4,938 Mcf of natural gas.

Oklahoma Energy Acquisitions LP based in Houston reported the completions of five wells in Kingfisher County with daily oil production of 366, 246, 180, 143 and 118 barrels.

Oklahoma City’s Chaparral Energy completed two wells on a single pad in Kingfisher county with combined production of 478 barrels of oil a day.

Houston’s Marathon Oil Co. completed a Garvin County well with production of 653 barrels of oil a day and 2,891 Mcf of gas.

Continental Resources reported completion of two Grady County wells with production of 143 barrels of oil a day on one well and 149 on the other. Roan Resources also completed one well in Grady County with production of 162 barrels of oil a day and 546 Mcf of natural gas.

The listing of permits to drill approved by the Corporation Commission show Revolution Resources in Oklahoma City intends to drill a Ghost 1404 19-07 wells about 5 miles northeast of Piedmont in Oklahoma County.

Mack Energy, based in Duncan plans to drill two wells near Ratliff City in Carter County. The sites are west of Interstate 35 and southwest of the city of Davis.

EOG Resources, Inc. of Houston will drill two wells on a single pad at a site about one mile northeast of Blanchard in McClain County.

Single permits were approved for several other counties including Texas, Tillman, Tulsa, Washington, Roger Mills, Major, Kingfisher, Hughes and Grady.
