SCOOP produces 2,000 barrel a day well for Marathon Oil

Houston’s Marathon Oil Company reports hitting a well in Garvin County with production of nearly 2,000 barrels of oil a day.

The Newby 0304-2-18sh is located at 18 3N 4W or several miles southwest of the city of Lindsay and in the four-county area that comprises the SCOOP play. The completion report showed initial production was 1,986 barrels of oil a day along with 2,263 Mcf of natural gas out of the Springer formation.

Spud date was in April 2019 and drilling was finished in May. Completion was made in September 2019.

Marathon also completed a Canadian County well with production of 836 barrels of oil a day and 6,180 Mcf of natural gas.

Located at 16 13N 7W, the Calvin S 1307 4-16mh is about one mile due east of the Lucky Star Casino located north of El Reno. Its completion report showed the well had a spud date in February 2019. Drilling was finished in March and completion was made in September. The well had a depth of 14,861 feet in the Mississippian formation.

EOG Resources Inc. reported completion of two wells at a pad site about two miles south of the town of Arnett in Ellis County. The Little Turkey wells, located at 20 18N 24W had production of 108 and 239 barrels of oil a day.

Oklahoma City-based Roan Resources, the firm that reported this week four wells on a single pad near Union City with production of more than 2,100 barrels of oil a day filed a completion report on a more than year old well in Canadian County.

The Barbour 11-14-10-7 1xh, located at 12 10N 7W had production of 533 barrels of oil a day and 6,180 Mcf of natural gas. The well had a March 2018 spud date with completion made in September of 2018. The well is located about 2 miles southeast of Union City.

The four wells reported earlier were located southwest of Union City and had combined production of 2,145 barrels of oil a day.
