MERGE produces two wells for Roan Resources

Another report of successful wells for Oklahoma City’s Roan Resources.

The company filed completion reports this week on a two-well pad located near the Bridge Creek school in Grady County.

The combined production was 591 barrels of oil a day on the Larry 26-23-9-5 wells drilled at 26 9N 5W. The wells had spud dates in September and December of 2018 with completions made in March 2019. The depths were 20,181 feet for the well that produced 461 barrels of oil a day and 19,703 on the second well that had production of 130 barrels of oil a day.

The wells are located in the MERGE where Roan Resources, the firm purchased for $1 billion by Tulsa-based Citizen Energy Operating LLC in October has nearly 115,000 acres.

Just last week, Roan Resources reported completion of four wells from a single pad in Canadian County with production of more than 2,100 barrels of oil a day.

Fourpoint Energy LLC, based in Denver, Colorado reported completion of two wells on a single pad in Roger Mills County. Combined production on the two Smith 30×31-16-21 wells, located at 19 16N 21W was 235 barrels of oil a day.

The wells are located approximately 9 miles southwest of the town of Leedey. Fourpoint Energy also obtained permits this week from the Corporation Commission to drill two wells on a site southwest of the town of Arnett in Ellis County, not far from the wells completed in Roger Mills County.

Other permits to drill were issued to Presidio Petroleum for two wells in Roger Mills County.

BCE-Mach LLB obtained one permit for Woods County. Comanche Exploration Co. LLC received two permits for wells in Major County. Calyx Energy Inc. obtained permits for two wells in Hughes County.
