Tulsa-based The Williams Companies is about to go to trial in Wisconsin in a 13-year legal battle that went to the U.S. Supreme Court and back. It involves customers who overpaid millions of dollars for natural gas but the lawsuit seeks triple the overpayment and it could be as high as $2 billion.
Williams along with CMS Energy, Dynergy and Xcel Energy are fighting the case. A federal judge is set to hold a status conference on Thursday.
