Exploration firms find success in STACK and in SE Oklahoma

Tulsa’s Newfield Exploration Mid-Con Inc. was successful in a four well, single-pad site in Oklahoma’s STACK with combined production of 2,305 barrels of oil a day.

The Hoile Fed 1611 wells, located in Blaine County at 36 16N 11W or about 6 miles southeast of Watonga, had spud dates in November and December of 2018. The production was 485, 472, 867 and 481 barrels of oil a day. Completions were made in May and June of 2019.

The depths of the wells were 20,828 feet, 21,027 feet, 20,785 feet and 21,013 feet. Gas production ranged from a low of 785 Mcf to a high of 1,683 Mcf a day.

New completion reports also revealed how Trinity Operating USG LLC had a 3-well, single pad site in Pittsburg County with total gas production of 31,681 Mcf a day.

The Carney wells, located several miles southwest of Quinton at 17 7N 8E had September 2018 spud dates with completions made in March 2019. Depths of the wells were 18,579 feet, 15,960 feet and 18,413 feet.
