Air Force logistics officers gather for convention in OKC

Oklahoma City is the site this week of a conference involving more than 1,000 U.S. Air Force officers whose careers involve logistics, aircraft maintenance and acquisition.

The nonprofit Logistics Officer Association organizes the annual symposium and it is the second time for Oklahoma City to host the event. It also serves as an introduction of the officers who could eventually be stationed at Tinker Air Force base and its massive maintenance center.

The symposium got underway Tuesday and will continue through Friday at the Renaissance Oklahoma City Convention Center Hotel.

Companies are also on hand exhibiting new technology that is available to the military.
