State regulators to hold annual oil and gas seminar

The Oklahoma Corporation Commission’s annual updating of rules and regulations covering oil and gas will be held Friday on the Oklahoma City University campus.

Entitled “Changing Dynamics in Oklahoma Oil and Gas Development: Looking Back to Go Forward,” it will be held from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Kerr-McGee Auditorium at OCU’s Meinders School of Business.

Former Corporation Commissioner Jim Roth, who is now dean of Oklahoma City University’s school of law will making opening remarks.  Commissioners Dana Murphy, Bob Anthony and Todd Hiett will be on hand to speak as well.

The morning sessions will focus on produced water. The afternoon sessions will include discussions about emergency order applications, saltwater disposal wells and ethics.
