Representative on climate change..govt regs cannot outrun technology

Oklahoma Congressman Markwayne Mullin took part last week in a congressional hearing into climate change. And he didn’t come away optimistic about reaching any compromise with the Democrats who control the Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on environmental and Climate Change.
The hearing was entitled “Building a 100 percent Clean Economy: Pathways to Net Zero Industrial Emissions.”
“We looked at how to achieve zero carbon emissions in the industrial sector. Right now, we don’t have any proven solutions on how to get zero-carbon versions of building materials, like steel, cement, glass, etc. Government regulation cannot outrun technology,” stated Rep. Mullin in his weekly update to constituents.

“Climate change is an issue that both sides should work on together. Unfortunately, the Left has proposed radical policies and refused to work with Republicans on bipartisan solutions. We all want clean air and clean water, but we have to do it in an economically responsible way,” wrote the congressman in his update.
