National Drive Electric Week to be observed in Arcadia and Jenks

Two cities in Oklahoma will observe National Drive Electric Week this month.

The Association of Central Oklahoma Governments will hold its event on Saturday, September 14 at POPS in Arcadia. The event will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will be a chance for Oklahomans interested in driving electric to ask questions of those who do that every day.

Local dealerships and EV drivers will offer ride and drives in different electric car models. Electric bikes will also be available to test ride.

EV’s are fun to drive, cheaper to fuel, and cheaper to maintain. The more you drive the better the cost difference between driving electric vs. gasoline/diesel.

More electric vehicles on the road in Oklahoma will help improve air quality and help the Oklahoma City area stay in-attainment of EPA ozone standards according to ACOG.

National Drive Electric Week, September 14-22, 2019, is a nationwide celebration to heighten awareness of today’s widespread availability of plug-in vehicles and highlight the benefits of all-electric and plug-in hybrid-electric cars, trucks, motorcycles, and more.

Tulsa area drivers can also attend a similar event at the Riverwalk in Jenks, OK on September 21, 2019, from
11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
