Houston firm brings in 1,800 barrel well in Canadian County

 

The Houston energy firm, Travis Peak Resources LLC reported this week its 1,800 barrel a day oil well in Canadian County near Yukon.

The Boris 1h-09, located at 9 11N 6W is about 4 miles southeast of Yukon and had a spud date of September 2018. Drilling was finished in October and completion was made the same month.

The well’s production was 1,800 barrels of oil a day along with 3,456 Mcf of natural gas. Its total depth was 14,192 feet. Travis Peak reported using 2,593,880 pounds of 100 mesh sand and 6,028,900 pounds of 30/50 sand along with 256,264 barrels of water to complete the well.

While the completion report indicated the well was drilled by Travis Peak Resources, the company and TPR Mid-Continent LLC were purchased Feb. 1, 2019 by Houston-based Paloma Partners IV, LLC. Paloma Partners, founded in 2004 has a two-rig program on 77,000 net acres in the STACK/MERGE area of Oklahoma.
