Wind surpasses coal for electricity in Texas

 

The use of coal for energy in Texas is on the decline—this from the state that is the nation’s largest consumer of coal.  It’s been overtaken by the wind industry.

As E and E News reported this week, wind generated more electricity than coal did in the first six months of the year.
