OKC Judge sends court fight with 2 energy firms back to Grant County

For the past 8 years, the Oklahoma City firm of Summa Engineering, Inc. has found itself in a legal battle with two limited liability energy companies.

In 2011, Venus Energy, LLC and Blue Mesa Properties, LLC filed suit in Texas against Summa. Then in 2017, Summa went to court in Grant County, Oklahoma  filling suit to collect  more than $188,000 in debt. The action prompted Todd Hurd, an attorney who was the alter ego of Venus and Leon Goble and Shannon Goble, alter egos of Blue Mesa to move the case to Oklahoma City Federal court.

But U.S. District Judge Charles B. Goodwin ruled against Hurd and the Gobles, sending the case back to Grant County District Court.
