Late report reveals 4-well pad had combined production of 3,200 barrels of oil a day in STACK

A 3-well pad with combined production of 2,200 barrels of oil a day we reported about last week in Kingfisher County was actually a 4-well pad with total production of more than 3,300 barrels of oil a day.

Marathon Petroleum filed three completion reports early last week then added a fourth report on July 5 indicating a fourth well was drilled from the same pad a bout 10.5 miles west of the city of Okarche. OK Energy Today reported on the 3-well pad production before Marathon filed the fourth report.

The Mike Stroud Bia 1509 7-28-833mxh was located like the others at 33 15N 9W and had an August 2018 spud date. Drilling was finished in November 2018 and the completion was made in March 2019.

Its initial production was 1,102 barrels of oil a day along with 5,914 Mcf of gas. Combined with the 2,200 production from the three earlier wells, Marathon was getting 3,302 barrels of oil a day out of the Mississippian solid formation.

The STACK has been kind to Marathon Petroleum. As OK Energy Today reported in June, the Houston company hit a single Blaine County well with production of more than 2,500 barrels of oil a day.
