Devon’s 4-well production in STACK totals nearly 3,000 barrels of oil a day

After sitting on completion reports for months, Devon Energy revealed this week the four wells drilled from a single pad in the STACK have combined production of nearly 3,000 barrels of oil a day. But its total STACK reports approach nearly 5,000 barrels of oil a day in Kingfisher county.

The variations of the Shangri-la 25-24-15n-8w were drilled at 25 15N 8W in June, July and August of 2018 at a site about one mile northwest of the city of Okarche. The largest of the wells saw initial production of 1,131 barrels of oil a day along with 1,547 Mcf of gas, according to the completion report on file.

Drillers needed 311,111 barrels of fluid and 22,548,209 pounds of proppant to bring in the well in the Mississippian. It was actually the third of the four wells drilled from the pad and also the largest.

The first well had a June spud date while the second had a spud date in July. Its production was 479 barrels of oil while the third and fourth wells had production of 544 and 799 barrels of oil a day.

Devon also had three wells from a single pad at 23 15N 7W or about 4 miles northeast of Okarche. The three wells had combined production of 1,158 barrels of oil a day.

Devon reported two wells from a single pad located at mile west of Kingfisher with total production of about 800 barrels of oil a day.

Devon’s total production from all 9 wells in Kingfisher county came to 4,906 barrels of oil a day.
