Marathon scores big on four wells in Kingfisher County

The four wells drilled by Houston’s Marathon Oil Company on the same pad site in Kingfisher County are producing a total of nearly 4,900 barrels of oil a day.

Completion reports filed this week with the Oklahoma Corporation Commission show the largest of the wells at 33 15N 9W is producing 1,797 barrels of oil a day. The Mike Stroud Bia  wells are located approximately 10 miles due west of Okarche.

All had spud dates in October of 2018 with drilling finished in either December 2018 or January of this year. The Mike Stroud Bia 1509 2-28-33mxh produced 1,797 barrels of oil a day along with 9,211 Mcf of natural gas, according to the completion report.

Two other Mike Stroud Bia wells at the pad had production of 1,086 barrels of oil a day each.  And each was completed with 260,414 barrels of fluid and 19,540,970 pounds of proppant.

A fourth Mike Stroud Bia well had production of 908 barrels of oil a day along with 7,094 Mcf of natural gas.

Total production from the four wells was 4,877 barrels of oil a day.
