The U.S. House Natural Resources Committee plans a hearing Tuesday into exploration of wider development of offshore wind power.
Tulsa Rep. Kevin Hern sits on the subcommittee on Energy and Mineral Resources and will be a part of the hearing entitled: Building a 21st Century American Offshore Wind Workforce.”
The subcommittee will take up Massachusetts Democratic Congressman Bill Keating’s plan to create such a workforce. He introduced H.R. 3068 to establish an offshore wind career training grant program. It is called the Offshore Wind Jobs and Opportunities Act.
