Denver company acquires more holdings in Bakken Play

A Denver-based energy company, Resource Energy Can-Am LLC has acquired assets in the Bakken Play of North Dakota.

But the company isn’t identifying the seller of the assets in Divide County. It identified the assets as 19 wells with 750 net BOEPD and proved producing net reserves of 2.2 MMBOE.

It makes Resource Energy’s fifth acquisition in Divide County. The company had made earlier acquisitions from American Eagle Energy Corporation, Samson Resources Company and Blue Ridge Mountain Resources.

Paul Favret, CEO and President of Resource Energy said the company intends to drill and complete several new wells in its inventory of undrilled locations.

“The transaction further expands the company’s operating footprint in the Williston Basin and is highly complementary to our existing position in the play,” he said.

With the acquisition, Resource Energy has accumulated a substantial acreage position in the Williston Basin of over 120,000 net acres, proven reserves of approximately 33 MMBOE (14.2 MMBOE proved-producing), and an interest in 416 wells (205 operated).
