Oklahoma’s STACK play continues to be a big producer for Oklahoma City’s Continental Resources Co.
This week, the company reported a well with nearly 2,500 barrels of oil production a day in Blaine County. Located at 6 16N 11W, the Blondie 1-6-7-18xhm well had production of 2,463 barrels of oil a day along with 5,606 Mcf of natural gas.
The well is located about 4 miles straight north of Watonga next to state highway 8. A completion report on file with the Oklahoma Corporation Commission showed the well had a November 2018 spud date and drilling finished in January 2019 with completion made in April.
The drillers used 570,182 bbls of fluid and 29,379,830 pounds of sand to complete the well.
