Another large producer in western Oklahoma

The Red Fork formation in western Oklahoma’s Anadarko Basin has yielded a well with production of more than 1,000 barrels of oil a day.

Unit Petroleum in Tulsa filed a completion report this week showing the Schrock 2215 1hx had production of 1,544 barrels of oil a day along with 1,744 Mcf of natural gas.

Located at 22 14N 14W, the well is about 10 miles north of Weatherford in Custer County.

The well had a June 30, 2018 spud date and drilling finished at the end of August 2018. Completion was made Sept. 20, 2018 and involved 21 frack stages that included 5,815,240 pounds of frac sand along with 139,013 barrels of fluid.

It was just about 15 months ago when Unit Petroleum started drilling operations in Oklahoma’s STACK play and drilled its initial well in Dewey County.
