Tallgrass Energy honored by Denver Post

Kansas City-based Tallgrass Energy, LP, the firm with extensive pipeline operations carrying oil to the Cushing hub, was named one of The Denver Post’s Top Workplaces.

The company has extensive operations in Colorado and Wyoming where it moves crude out of the DJ Basin. The honor was the fifth consecutive year for Tallgrass to be named to Top Workplaces. The list is compiled based on a third-party survey that measures aspects of workplace culture through the eyes of employees.

“This recognition is based solely on feedback from our employees,” said Tallgrass Energy CEO David Dehaemers Jr. “It’s gratifying that for the fifth consecutive year our employees rated us high enough to earn us a slot on the Top Workplaces list. That validates the work we’ve done over the years to build a culture and work environment that inspires employees to come to work every day. ”

Tallgrass is an energy infrastructure company that operates in 11 states. Its management says the top two words employees used to describe the firm’s culture were “safety” and “Safe.”

Tallgrass employees ranked their company particularly highly when asked to agree or disagree with the following statements designed to assess cultural strength:

  • At Tallgrass, we do things efficiently and well
  • I get the formal training I want for my career
  • My manager makes it easier to do my job well
  • My manager cares about my concerns and helps me learn and grow
