Sweet spot in STACK found by Continental Resources

New completion reports filed by Continental Resources show the energy company had more than one big well at a site near Greenfield in Blaine County.

As OK Energy reported earlier, the company had a well with production of more than 1,700 barrels of oil a day at 5 14N 11W. But next day filings by Continental Resources revealed there were actually three more Tolbert Federal wells at the same pad site just west of Greenfield.

Three had the same production of 1,722 barrels of oil a day while the fourth produced 1,472 barrels of oil a day along with 15,099 Mcf of gas. All three of the larger wells had gas production of 22,651 Mcf.

Spud dates for the wells with production of 1,722 barrels of oil a day were in October of last year. Drilling finished in January 2019 with completion made in March.

Continental Resources also had a large producer in Grady County which is part of the SCOOP play.  The Pyle 2-36-25xhw located at 36 7N 6W had production of 1,640 barrels of oil a day along with 3,712 Mcf of natural gas. The well is located east of Chickasha in an area where Continental has produced several multi-well pads with great success.

The Pyle well had a spud date in October 2018 and drilling finished in November while completion was made in February of this year.
