Storage and pipeline operator NuStar unloads Caribbean facility in $250 million deal

San Antonio-based NuStar Energy L.P., one of the nation’s largest independent liquids terminal and pipeline operators announced it will sell its St. Eustatius Terminal in a $250 million deal with Prostar Capital.

NuStar has 9,800 miles of pipeline and 75 terminal ans storage facilities including 24 tanks with a storage capacity of 340,000 barrels at Catoosa in northeastern Oklahoma. It also has a storage facility in southern Oklahoma near the community of Wasson where oil is transported from the storage site to the refinery in Ardmore.

NuStar’s pipeline system is also connected  to the Ardmore refinery and the company has a small pipeline operation in the Panhandle town of Turpin.

The St. Eustatius Terminal is located on the island of St. Eustatius in the Caribbean. It has a 14.4 million barrel petroleum storage capacity.
