Blaine County’s latest big well was brought in by Continental Resources in an area about 3 miles northeast of the community of Greenfield.
A completion report filed this week showed the Homsey 6-22-27xhm well had production of 1,629 barrels of oil a day along with 6,262 Mcf of gas. Located at 22 15N 11W, the well had a June 2018 spud date and drilling ended in August of last year. Completion was made in October of 2018.
Production is from the Mississippi formation and the drillers used 20,481,522 pounds of sand along with 393,974 barrels of fluid to complete the well.
