More large SCOOP wells reported by Continental Resources

Continental Resources Inc. is finding more success in the SCOOP as it reported three Grady County wells this week, each with production more than 1,000 barrels of oil a day.

The wells are located about 7 miles east of Chickasha where the Oklahoma City-based energy company started staging density unit tests a few years ago.

The largest are the two Pyle wells drilled in the Woodford formation at 36 7N 6W, each producing the same amount of oil at 1,226 barrels a day along with 1,995 Mcf of gas. The completion reports on the Pyle 7-36-25xhw show they had spud dates in September of 2018 and drilling was finished in October of last year. The first completions were made in March 2019.

The wells are located south of State highway 39 near Tabler while the company’s third well reported this week was the Pyle 5-25-36xhw on the north side of the highway at 25 7N 6W. It had production of 1,100 barrels of oil a day along with 1,569 Mcf of gas. The well had an August 2018 spud date and drilling finished in September. Completion was not made until March 2019.
