Oil and Gas leader says President’s executive orders were needed

The head of Oklahoma’s largest oil and gas group offers thanks to President Trump for signing two executive orders to speed up  the pipeline permitting process and help energy development.

Chad Warmington, President of the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association and the Oklahoma Oil and Gas Association issued a statement in response.

“Expanding America’s energy infrastructure and clearing unnecessary regulatory hurdles for liquefied natural gas export directly strengthens Oklahoma’s economy,”  he  said. “As one of the nation’s leading oil and natural gas producers, Oklahomans are proud to develop the energy that moves our economy and we’re grateful President Trump is taking the action needed to move us closer to achieving energy dominance.”

Warmington said too often activist politicians have gotten in the way by putting up unnecessary roadblocks that delayed or suspended key energy projects. He added that the regulatory uncertainty jeopardizes investment, good-paying jobs and increases costs for hard-working families.

““Modernizing and expanding pipeline infrastructure networks is critical to connecting Oklahoma-produced energy with domestic and international markets – actions that will spur the oil and natural gas development needed to support good-paying jobs, drive tax revenues and sustain long-term economic growth.”
