Noble Midstream Partners is reportedly for sale

Houston-based Noble Midstream Partners, LP might be for sale.

At least that’s according to recent reports which indicated company leaders have made the decision, but they’re not yet publicly commenting.

Noble Midstream is the pipeline operator controlled by Noble Energy Inc., a U.S. oil and gas exploration and production company.

Noble Midstream’s focus is in the Permian Basin of West Texas and the DJ Basin in northern Colorado.

Reuters reported that Noble Energy could also decide to sell some of its assets and not all of the midstream sector. Company officials are not commenting about the report.

But the speculation comes as Noble Midstream Partners shares rose 7 percent late last week giving it a market value of $1.6 billion.

The parent company, Noble Energy has a market capitalization of $13 billion.
