PSO’s rate hike to be heard by OCC

The Oklahoma Corporation Commission meets Monday to hold a hearing on the proposed $46 million settlement of PSO’s original request for an $88 million rate increase.

The settlement was announced several days ago and today during the Commission’s regular meeting, an Administrative Law Judge will hold a hearing on the proposal.

Under the agreement, the rate hike would amount to an increase of nearly $2.35 more a month for the average residential customer and not the $7 increase originally asked by PSO.

The settlement agreement was reached in negotiations that included PSO, PUD, the Oklahoma Attorney General, AARP, and Oklahoma Industrial Energy Consumers.

The proposed settlement agreement must be approved by the 3 member Oklahoma Corporation Commission.
