A correction to our story this past week regarding the fatal oilfield site explosion near Enid, Oklahoma.
The victim was Javier Barraza. We initially identified him as Javier Varraza.
He and another man were welding atop a salt water disposal tank when an explosion occurred. Barraza was killed and the other man was injured.
The matter is still under investigation. The two were employees of Jennings Energy, a subcontractor for the lease owner, Lagoon Water Solutions of Edmond.
