Oil and gas employment shows impact on Oklahoma’s jobless rates

A county-by-county breakdown of jobless rates in Oklahoma in January show unemployment was down in 64 of the state’s 77 counties. The Oklahoma Employment Security Commission reported rates were higher in 6 counties and were unchanged in 7 counties. Typically most earthquakes in  Oklahoma have occurred in the northern reaches of the state or central, but the Friday night quake was recorded due west of Oklahoma City.
