Sen. Inhofe says arrival of KC 46 in Altus was “incredible weekend”

Oklahoma U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe who chairs the Senate Armed Services Committee was still so excited over last week’s arrival of the first KC 46 refueling tanker at Altus Air Force Base he tweeted a statement on Monday.

“What an incredible weekend. The KC-46 is back home in Oklahoma and ready to help in the training of the future airmen of the United States. I am incredibly proud of our state, country and all its military personnel,” tweeted the Senator.

The Senator was on hand last Friday when the first of the new refueling tankers arrived at the air base in southwest Oklahoma.

Crews of the new Boeing KC46 Pegasus will take their flight training at Altus. Maintenance of the giant plane that’s replacing the aging KC 135 tanker will be performed at Tinker Air Force base in Midwest City.
