AAA opens first of its kind ‘care care’ center in OKC

The organization known for rescuing more than 400,000 stranded motorists each year, has a new and unique way to help Oklahomans.  AAA Oklahoma celebrated the opening of its first Car Care, Insurance and Travel Center in the state.

AAA leaders from throughout the country joined local dignitaries for the official ribbon-cutting at the AAA’s Northwest Oklahoma City Car Care, Insurance and Travel Center, 6163 N. May Avenue. It’s the only location of its kind, not just in the Sooner State, but a five-state region also including Texas, Kansas, Nebraska and South Dakota.

“Our members have traditionally come to depend on us for our world-class roadside assistance,” says Tom Wiedemann, President and CEO of AAA Club Alliance (which operates locally as AAA Oklahoma). “We are thrilled to now add car care for members and non-members alike in Oklahoma.”

Whether it’s assisting drivers in advance of wintery weather or helping travelers plan a warm weather escape, the new AAA center offers one-of-a-kind service. “Our new location offers a totally customer focused experience,” says Jared Peterson, Regional President, AAA Oklahoma.  “Nowhere else in the region can they take care of car maintenance, diagnostic and repair needs in the same place where they can take care of their travel planning and insurance needs.”

Customers visiting the 10,800-square-foot location will access car repair and service alongside traditional AAA membership, travel and insurance services. AAA members will enjoy a lower price discount on repair labor.
