Continental Resources reports large 2018 net income and increased oil production

Lawmakers reject higher royalty rate on oil in New Mexico

Chicago investment firm’s SEC filing shows stock holdings in Chesapeake Energy

Chicago-based investment company Harris Associates L.P. filed documents with the Securities and Exchange Commission showing its holdings in Oklahoma City’s Chesapeake Energy. The firm’s holdings total 43,639,081 shares or 4.6% of Chesapeake Energy. Harris manages $141 billion in assets worldwide as of March 31, 2018.    

Corporation Commission studies wind turbine fee

An Oklahoma Corporation Commission administrator is telling legislative leaders and others that a proposed $50 tax on every wind turbine in the state would raise less than $200,000 a year. Environmental fines among $11 million collected by OKC federal prosecutors in 2018

Federal prosecutors in Oklahoma City say they collected nearly $11 million last year from criminal and civil cases including environmental matters. Robert J. Troester of the U.S. Attorney’s office said the figure was $10,624,311 in the fiscal year ending Sept. 30, 2018. Most of the money came from civil actions and it totaled $4,932,069 while …
